2010 C# MVP

Writing

I just got the e-mail this morning that I am a C# MVP for the second year in a row. I am very excited about this and I am really looking forward to being involved in the developer community in 2010 (as well as seeing many other MVPs at the Summit). I am also looking forward to producing tons of great content on this blog.

So, what are my focuses going to be in 2010?

  1. Well, I made a few posts on learning Scala which trailed off after a bit. I’d still like to learn more about Scala. It probably isn’t a language that I’d use much in my work (especially with the CLI version far behind the JVM version), but I think it is very interesting and could provide a lot of cool ideas.
  2. I’d also like to learn a good bit more about F#. I’ve dabbled, but I’ve really never dug deep into it. This is one area that I’d like to look into and blog about more.
  3. I’d also like to explore some cloud offerings more, in particular exploring Windows Azure.
  4. In the short term I’d like to start exploring some of the newer additions to the .NET 4.0 framework. I can’t decide if I want to start blogging these before or after VS2010 comes out. I guess it really depends on how much time I have!

I have a ton of other ideas and topics that I want to blog about in 2010, we will see how much I can get through!

Right now I am working on a screencast series for TekPub on LINQ. You should start seeing those show up real soon!

So, cheers to 2010, it looks like it is going to be a good one!

Loved the article? Hated it? Didn’t even read it?

We’d love to hear from you.
