Well, it appears that the one year anniversary of this blog is coming up (October 19th), and I’m a bit torn on what to do. I was thinking of doing some sort of contest involving guest posts. But then I didn’t know if I would be giving the false impression that getting a guest post up on my blog would bring you tons of traffic, fame, and fortune. If the article is really good, then you’d probably get a few thousand views, but if it isn’t then you wouldn’t get all that many.

So, what are your thoughts on this? The reason I am even suggesting this is because I have received e-mails from several people asking for tips on getting their blogs started up. I know that getting their writing out there and linked to is a good start, and I thought that maybe this could be a good chance for an aspiring blogger to get a few more people to their site.

So, is this something that anyone would be interested in? I would be the sole judge of the content, since it has to go up on my blog. I would obviously prominently link to the author’s blog, but the author would have to release the work under at least a "Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0" license. Let me know soon if you are interested, and if enough people are, then I will officially start the contest.
